Introduction:

We are seeking a skilled Metal Finisher to join our manufacturing team. As a Metal Finisher, you will be responsible for finishing metal parts and components to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. This role requires proficiency in various finishing techniques and the ability to work with different types of metals.

 

Responsibilities:

• Perform finishing operations on metal parts such as grinding, deburring, polishing, and buffing.

• Use hand tools and power tools effectively to achieve desired finishes.

• Inspect finished parts for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.

• Follow blueprints, work instructions, and production schedules.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and equipment.

• Collaborate with team members to optimize processes and improve efficiency.

• Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

 

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Metal Finisher or similar role in a manufacturing environment.

• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and machinery for metal finishing.

• Knowledge of different types of metals and their properties.

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

• Attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.

• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy materials.

 

Skills:

• Hands-on experience with grinding, deburring, polishing, and other finishing techniques.

• Ability to measure and inspect finished parts using precision instruments.

• Problem-solving skills to address quality issues and improve processes.

• Time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet production deadlines.

• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors.

 

Working Conditions:

• Noise levels can be high due to operating machinery like shears and press brakes.

• Gloves and safety glasses are required due to sharp metal edges and flying debris.

• Strict adherence to safety protocols for handling heavy machinery and equipment.
